Tadalafil belongs to the group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE 5) inhibitors, primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Erectile dysfunction is the inability to keep a hard and erect penis suitable for sexual activity. Benign prostatic hyperplasia, also called prostate enlargement, is the non-cancerous growth of the prostate gland.
Tadalafil contains ‘Tadalafil’, which works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis; this allows the blood to flow into the penis when the person is sexually excited. Possible side effects of TadalafilGet medical attention if you have any of these symptoms as they do not require medical attention immediately: back pain, headache, headache with nausea, indigestion, and/or facial flushing or numbness in/from the legs (deep vein thrombosis). These symptoms do not indicate any serious condition. Avoid consuming alcohol as it might cause increased dizziness; however, drive with caution. Tadalafil and alcohol may each last a few days to get rid of these side effects. It is important that you let your doctor know before taking Tadalafil, especially if you are taking any other medicine. Medicines that act on Tadalafil may cause side effects on their own in time for you to experience them. If you have any experience of unconsciousness, get medical help first. Do not drive or operate machinery if you take Tadalafil for recreational purposes. The safety and effectiveness of Tadalafil in the treatment of erectile dysfunction have not been established in male patients.
How to take Tadalafil : Once a day + 1 hour after taking Tadalafil Take a Tadalafil tablet 1 to 2 hours before or 2.5 to 5 hours after taking a nitrate, or other drug that treat angina, alpha-blocker or heart medicine. Take the medicine at the same time each day. Do not take more Tadalafil than directed by your doctor. You are advised to take a Tadalafil tablet on an empty stomach for better effectiveness. The medicine should be taken on an empty stomach for the best results. When taking a Tadalafil tablet, wait for 30 to 60 minutes and then take the medicine every day. The medicine may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. You are advised to take the medicine every day for the best results. Be careful not to miss a dose, which may take longer than expected. Avoid missing a dose as it may cause your side effects. It is important to take the medicine at the same time each day to avoid potential side effects. Do not take more medicine than directed as this may increase the risk of side effects. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully. Do not take more medicine than directed as this may cause your medicine to not be effective in treating erectile dysfunction. Check with your doctor if you are not sure what to do.You are to take the medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The recommended starting dose for erectile dysfunction is 10 mg once daily, as directed by your doctor. The maximum recommended dose is, 10 mg every 4 to 6 hours as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take Tadalafil more often than once daily as this may cause your medicine to not be effective in treating erectile dysfunction. Avoid consuming alcohol as it may cause increased dizziness and cause symptoms of depression. Avoid having sexual activity until the doctor has prescribed it. ixieIntroduction:The tadalafil tablet is an alternative to other pulmonary hypertension tablets (PPH antidepressants).ixie is a combination drug used in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in patients with diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, or high cholesterol. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis and treating the symptoms of erectile dysfunction.ixie is an alternative to PPH antidepressants in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. This will be explained in more detail in the next section.
Tadalafil is an analog of sildenafil that belongs to the class of drugs known as -type medicines. This group of drugs includes vardenafil (Stendra), tadalafil (Cialis), and vardenafil/ tadalafil combination drugs. Vardenafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor and tadalafil is an ED (erectile dysfunction) drug. ED drugs can be prescribed for men with ED who do not respond to PDE5 inhibitors.

Tadalafil is a combination drug that contains two active ingredients, 100mg and 60mg, as main and auxiliary components. Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor.
Whether you can take Tadalafil at the same time as your other medications will depend on which medications you are taking.
You are required to complete a short medical consultation questionnaire that asks for any medications that you are prescribed from your GP and will indicate the medications that can’t be taken alongside Tadalafil.
There are several medicines which should not be taken concurrently with Tadalafil. Medicines which can have potentially serious interactions with Tadalafil include :-
• Any alpha-blocker medicines e.g. doxazosin (Cardura), alfuzosin (Xatral), tamsulosin, terazosin, or Flomax, that you can buy in the pharmacy. (These medicines may be used to treat prostate problems or high blood pressure).
• Isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, or use a GTN spray or tablets
for chest pain or use Rectogesic ointment?
• Nicorandil (Ikorel), used to treat angina
• Cimetidine, used to treat stomach or duodenal (peptic) ulcers
• Theophylline, used to treat asthma
• Antibiotics:- Clarithromycin, Erythromycin and Telithromycin
• Anti-fungals such as itraconazole and ketoconazole
• Seizure medication:- carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin and primidone
• Heart or blood pressure medication:- disopyramide, amiodarone, quinidine and procainamide
• Anti-viral medication:- telaprevir, atazanavir, retonavir, indinavir, saquinavir and cobicistat
• Recreational drugs:- amyl nitrate (poppers)
If you are taking any prescribed medication from your GP then you can simply write those in the “Is there any other medical information that you think our doctor should know?” section on the medical questionnaire. Then, our doctor will know whether the Tadalafil is safe for you to take.
Read available consultation questionnaireErectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition in men aged 18 or older. It can be caused by several different factors, including-
1. Selecting a suitable medicine may require a consultation with a pharmacist or a doctor who is licensed to prescribe the medicine may differ from the qualified majority from the consultation provided by the patient. This does not mean the medical practitioner will prescribe the generic medicine without first speaking to the patient.
